The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is dedicated to enhancing research and development in the oil and gas sector with its $50 million fund. The Executive Secretary, Felix Ogbe, highlighted the importance of collaborations under the Triple Helix model—academia, industry, and government working together to drive research commercialization.

Ogbe emphasized the significance of funding for sustainable initiatives and the NCDMB’s commitment to supporting research and innovation in Nigeria’s oil industry. He also mentioned plans to onboard more research projects and urged participants to explore collaborative opportunities for progress.

The President of Triple Helix Nigeria, Abdulmalik Halilu, stressed the importance of research commercialization to solve real-world problems. With a focus on creating tangible progress, Halilu pointed out the potential for universities in Nigeria to become centers of excellence for entrepreneurship.

The Triple Helix Conference showcased high-quality papers from contributors across Nigeria and the diaspora, emphasizing the crucial role of academia, industry, and government in driving sustainable development.
