Trump faces new lawsuit while campaigning in swing states

Published by

The US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are vigorously campaigning in battleground states with less than two weeks until the elections. Harris is touring swing states with Liz Cheney to gain support from moderate Republican-leaning voters. Trump, aiming to win back Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, which he lost to Biden in 2020, made three stops in North Carolina, increasingly competitive because of Hurricane Helene’s aftermath.

Highlights of the Campaigns:

  • Harris questions Trump’s mental stability and foreign policy decisions, warning of potential consequences if he wins.
  • Cheney voices concerns about Trump’s behavior and encourages Republicans to vote their conscience without disclosing their opinions publicly.
  • Trump dismisses Cheney as a ‘war hawk’ and criticizes hurricane response efforts in North Carolina.
  • The ‘Central Park Five’ announce defamation lawsuit against Trump for false statements made during a debate.

The high-stakes battle between the candidates intensifies as they make their final pitches to voters in crucial states, setting the stage for a dramatic finish to the election season.
