The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sanaa government, Jamal Ahmed Amer, received the credentials of the new representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to the Republic of Yemen on Sunday. During the meeting, Minister Amer welcomed the new head of the IOM mission, Abdusattor Esoev, expressing hope for overcoming the challenges faced in the previous phase.

Amer emphasized the ministry’s commitment to ensure all types of support and facilitation for the organization’s activities focused on migrants and internally displaced individuals. He hopes that the head of the IOM mission will boost humanitarian projects, particularly for those affected by conflict and recent floods in the country.

The IOM mission head expressed enthusiasm to work in Yemen, looking forward to cooperating further with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the government in Sanaa. This collaboration aims to address the challenges posed by undocumented migrants and enhance repatriation efforts with international support.
