The Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has appointed Prof. Samuel Asagba as the new Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka. The appointment, effective from December 1, 2024, was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.
Prof. Asagba, a Professor of Environmental Biochemistry and Toxicology, has previously held different roles at the university, including deputy vice-chancellor (Administration) and Provost of the defunct Asaba campus.
This appointment signals a new chapter for Delta State University, with Prof. Asagba bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to lead the institution forward.
