Sandu condemned the interference, calling it a threat to Moldova’s sovereignty and emphasizing the need to address corruption issues.
The European Commission expressed support for Moldova’s EU accession path, denouncing Russian interference attempts and emphasizing the country’s determination for a European future. The upcoming presidential runoff between Sandu and a Russia-friendly candidate adds another layer of complexity to Moldova’s political landscape.
