Ministers and MKs rally for Gaza resettlement – Israel News

Ministers, MKs, and settler leaders gathered near the Gaza border to rally for the resettlement of the Gaza Strip. The event marked the culmination of a two-day festival titled “Preparing to Settle in Gaza,” showcasing a makeshift camp of sukkot. Organized by right-wing groups, including Nahala, the rally drew attention from the Likud governing party, challenging the government’s policy against Gaza settlements.

Nahala leader Daniella Weiss emphasized the feasibility of settlement based on past successes in the West Bank. The rally included temporary housing agreements near the Gaza border and speeches highlighting the settlers’ connection to traditional Zionists. Despite protests from the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, the event proceeded with support from ministers and MKs, advocating for a new vision for Israel’s future.

The rally attracted attention for its bold stance on resettlement, sparking conversations on Israel’s direction amidst international scrutiny. Supporters showcased their solidarity, expressing fervent belief in the cause. The event served as a platform for dialogue, urging the government to reconsider its stance on Gaza resettlement.
