The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported a death toll of 2,483 and 11,628 injured since the start of Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

This announcement came as the U.S. President’s envoy Amos Hochstein visited Lebanon and met with officials to discuss the ongoing conflict.

Israeli airstrikes on Sunday caused 13 deaths and 36 injuries in the south and Nabatieh Governorate, with additional casualties in other areas.

The death toll excludes more recent casualties, including 24 deaths on Monday and an airstrike near Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut.

Hochstein’s Visit to Lebanon

Hochstein aims to find a lasting solution to the conflict, emphasizing the importance of implementing resolution 1701 fully by both parties.

Lebanese officials see his visit as a crucial opportunity to end the war before the upcoming U.S. elections.

War on Lebanon

Hezbollah’s involvement in the conflict escalated following Israeli cyber-attacks and assassinations of its leaders, leading to widespread airstrikes in Lebanon.

The ongoing violence has resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, displacing over a million people to shelters.

Cross-border movements have also been significant, with thousands fleeing to Syrian territory.
