Campaign for Justice: Students Demand Transparency and Safety on Campus

A group of students in Lahore have united to form the Student Action Committee, advocating for transparent investigations into recent cases of rape and harassment at educational institutions. Led by students from various colleges and universities, the committee is demanding strict punishment for perpetrators and increased safety measures on campus.

Students rallied in front of the Punjab Assembly to protest against the incidents at Lahore College for Women University and Punjab College. They also called for accountability for police officers involved in student torture during protests and the immediate release of detained students.

The committee vows to continue their protest until all demands are met and plans to expand their movement to all educational institutions in Lahore. They are pushing for a forensic audit of CCTV footage related to the alleged rape at Punjab College and demand transparency in the investigation process.

Additionally, students are advocating for the formation of elected student action committees on every campus to ensure student voices are heard in all decisions. Their ultimate goal is to end the commercialization of education and provide free, quality education for all.
