In a recent court hearing, the Additional Advocate General (AAG) stated that the notification regarding the monitoring and regulation of hoardings in Bengaluru will only be enforced once approved by the state government. The by-laws proposed are aimed at curbing illegal flex boards and advertisements, with the BBMP chief commissioner reporting the removal of 9,761 illegal hoardings and banners, along with FIRs registered in 154 cases. A penalty of Rs 3,09,400 has been imposed in these cases.
