Suspected cultists continue to cause terror in Ahoada communities, Rivers State, as they killed two more people in Edeoha community and its neighboring areas. This comes after four individuals were murdered on Sunday, adding to the ongoing violence in the region.
The notorious area has a history of cult-related activities, including the killing of a former Divisional Police Officer. The armed youths struck again at Odiokwu junction in Ula-Ehuda, Igbu Akoh-Kingdom, Ahoada East LGA, leaving two dead bodies in their wake.
The residents, including the Public Relations Officer of Igbu-Akoh Kingdom, Hector Ekakita, have urged the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha, to enhance security in the area. Despite efforts to maintain peace, the resurgence of cult violence has caused fear and unrest among the community.
The situation has led some locals to flee, as tensions rise in the region. The plea for intervention from law enforcement is reiterated, as the community hopes for a swift resolution to the ongoing crisis.
Despite conflicting reports, the urgency for security measures to protect the residents remains a top priority as the cultists continue to wreak havoc in the area.
