Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Araghchi, highlighted the importance of the joint cooperation between Iran and the BRICS member countries during a recent meeting. The discussions focused on solving problems, overcoming obstacles, and speeding up the implementation of agreements and joint projects.
Araghchi emphasized the significance of the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, as a platform to strengthen multilateralism in Iran’s foreign policy. He expressed Iran’s readiness to be a reliable and strategic partner for all members of the BRICS group, leveraging economic and geopolitical capacities.
Following his regional tour, Araghchi will join a high-level Iranian delegation at the BRICS summit in Kazan. The summit, described as the largest foreign policy event in Russia, is seen as a potential game-changer in reshaping the global order.
Originally formed by Brazil, Russia, India, and China in 2009, the BRICS alliance expanded to include South Africa and welcomed Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates as permanent members under BRICS+ last year.
