Armed Forces Chief observes MEDUSA-13 main phase in Greece

Chief-of-Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa recently attended the joint military exercise “MEDUSA-13” in Greece. The exercise included participation from Egyptian air, naval, and special forces, along with forces from Greece, Cyprus, France, and Saudi Arabia.

The main phase of the exercise took place aboard the Mistral helicopter carrier “Anwar al-Sadat,” with training activities such as unconventional combat drills and live fire exercises. The exercise aimed to enhance the participating forces’ abilities in managing air and naval combat operations against various threats.

During his visit, Lieutenant General Khalifa also visited the tombs of the unknown soldier memorial and held meetings with Greek military officials, including discussions on boosting military relations between Egypt and Greece.

The exercise also saw the participation of observers from Italy, Bahrain, Rwanda, Bulgaria, and Morocco. Additionally, special forces from the participating countries engaged in joint exercises to exchange expertise and unify operational concepts.

Egypt’s participation in “MEDUSA-13” highlights the country’s commitment to advancing military cooperation with its allies and enhancing its military capabilities.
