Deputizing for the Prime Minister, Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abul Samen graced the launch of the 10th International Jordanian Chemical Engineering Conference. The event, organized by the Chemical Engineering Division at the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), highlighted the significance of advancing chemical engineering science amidst modern challenges, especially post-Covid-19.
Abul Samen emphasized the need for Jordanian industrialists to leverage national competencies and research mechanisms to stay competitive in global markets. He outlined the government’s vision for economic modernization, focusing on high-value industries to establish Jordan as a regional industrial hub.
JEA President Ahmad Samara Al-Zoubi commended the Chemical Engineering Division for its research efforts and collaboration with national and international institutions. The conference aimed to enhance the professional capacity of engineers in chemical processes and promote cooperation between Jordanian and international engineering bodies.
