During his visit to Kiev, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced a new $400 million weaponry deal for Ukraine. The deal includes ammunition, armor, and anti-tank weapons to strengthen Ukraine’s forces.

Meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Austin stated, “I am pleased to announce today the pledge to send a new weapons package worth $400 million to provide your forces with additional ammunition, armor, and anti-tank weapons.”

Emphasizing the continued support of the United States and the international community for Ukraine, Austin mentioned that this was his fourth visit to Ukraine as Secretary of Defense.

This commitment reflects the ongoing assistance and solidarity towards Ukraine in the face of regional challenges.
