Ukrainian drone strike hits Russia’s top microelectronics plant

Russia’s chip manufacturer, Kremniy El Group, faced devastating drone attacks in Ukraine, resulting in explosions and fires that halted the production of electronic equipment. A drone strike on a non-residential building on October 20 led to disruptions in power supply and production chains at the Bryansk region facility.

The company’s management expressed determination to overcome the challenges posed by the attack, emphasizing the unity and hard work of the team to restore operations. JSC Silicon El Group, a key player in Russian microelectronics, supplies products to numerous companies and employs over 1,700 individuals.

The recent drone attacks mark a continued trend of aggression towards Russia’s Bryansk region, prompting a counter-terrorist operation regime since August. Despite setbacks, efforts are underway to restore operations and mitigate the impact of the attacks.
