North Korean troops equipped in Russia for likely Ukraine deployment

Recent footage shows North Korean soldiers receiving uniforms and equipment at a training base in Russia’s far east, providing evidence of South Korea’s intelligence report that 1500 troops have been sent for military training to aid in the conflict in Ukraine. This signifies the strengthening relationship between Moscow and Pyongyang.

The soldiers, speaking Korean, are undergoing training in Russia before being deployed to Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities shared a video of soldiers queuing to receive their gear.

Reports suggest North Korea is readying 10,000 troops for involvement in the conflict. Despite both countries denying arms transfers, evidence shows otherwise. The alliance between Russia and North Korea has intensified since the former’s invasion.
