A delegation consisting of 32 members from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) visited Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China and praised the region’s stability and development. The delegates, hailing from various OIC member countries, commended the social harmony and collaborative growth among the diverse ethnic groups in Xinjiang during their tour of key cities in the region.

The delegation highlighted the importance of international cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts, development initiatives, and dispelling misinformation. They lauded Xinjiang’s efforts in counter-terrorism and de-radicalization, emphasizing the global necessity of unity against terrorism.

Several delegates expressed interest in expanding economic cooperation with Xinjiang, particularly in areas such as energy. The delegates also visited local mosques and praised China’s commitment to protecting human rights and ensuring religious freedom in Xinjiang.

Overall, the delegates lauded Xinjiang’s rapid development, preservation of cultural heritage, and high quality of life, emphasizing the need to present a more accurate picture of the region to the world.
