Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, delivered a powerful speech emphasizing Iran’s sovereignty over the disputed islands of Bu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb in the Persian Gulf. Ghalibaf warned external powers against challenging Iran’s determination to protect these integral parts of the country.
He condemned the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council for making unfounded claims to the islands and criticized the European Union for supporting Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon. The historical context of the sovereignty dispute goes back to British colonial influence, but Iran has consistently rejected UAE’s claims as baseless and historically inaccurate.
Ghalibaf also paid tribute to the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, highlighting his role in the resistance against Israel. He assured that Hamas, like Hezbollah, will continue its resistance efforts despite Sinwar’s martyrdom. The speaker concluded by urging the Parliamentary Industry and Mining Commission to complete the report on the Tabas mine disaster.
