HURIWA urges Tinubu to experience Nigerians’ struggle by moving during the day

Understanding the Plight of Nigerians: A Call for Daytime Visits by President Tinubu

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has urged President Bola Tinubu to move around Nigeria during the daytime to witness the suffering of the masses firsthand. This call comes in response to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s statement that the President only moves around at night. HURIWA emphasized the need for the President to witness the effects of bad governance and economic policies during the day when most Nigerians are awake and struggling.

HURIWA also expressed disappointment in the government’s inaction towards improving the economic conditions of Nigerians, citing the frequent increase in petrol prices as a major factor. The organization challenged President Tinubu to visit states and markets during the day to see the impact of these policies on the cost of living.

In other news, President Tinubu has appointed Vice President Kashim Shettima to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The theme of the meeting will focus on building a resilient future for member countries and leveraging the ‘Commonwealth Advantage’.
