EFF MP Carl Niehaus has reaffirmed his dedication to the party amidst recent departures of some members. Despite the resignations of former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, and Fana Mokwena, Niehaus stated his commitment to remain with the red berets.
Addressing party members during a voter registration campaign, Niehaus emphasized his unwavering loyalty, stating, “I am here. I’m 100% plus here. My loyalty to the EFF is 100%. My commitment to economic freedom in our lives is 100%.” He expressed confidence in the party’s ideology and leadership.
Niehaus, a key ally of MK Party (MKP) leader Jacob Zuma, joined the EFF shortly before the establishment of Zuma’s MKP in December 2023. Despite his political experience of 45 years, Niehaus conveyed his happiness and dedication to the EFF.
