TEHRAN (Iran News) Russian President Vladimir Putin is determined to strengthen the BRICS alliance by expanding its membership and elevating its global influence. The alliance, which already includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, has grown to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.

Putin outlined various initiatives for the summit, including the development of a cross-border payments system, a reinsurance company, and a SWIFT-like financial messaging system. He also called for increased investment in technology, infrastructure, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence.
Putin highlighted Russia’s new transport megaprojects like the Arctic Sea Route and the North-to-South corridor, aiming to enhance freight transportation between Eurasia and Africa. He emphasized the importance of cooperation and openness within the BRICS alliance for future development and growth.
Joining Putin at the summit are leaders from China, India, and the UAE, confirming their commitment to strengthening the alliance.
