A class 5 student of a government school in Rajasthan suffered a fractured arm after allegedly being hit by her teacher for not folding a mat properly.
The incident occurred at Government Higher Secondary School in Telia Khedi, leading to an FIR against the teacher, Abdul Aziz, with an inquiry initiated by the education department.
The matter came to light during a public grievances redressal camp, where the girl’s account prompted further action.
The girl claimed that despite following instructions, the teacher, Aziz, became aggressive and struck her with a stick, resulting in the fracture.
An FIR was filed against Aziz under relevant sections, and an investigation is underway while awaiting a medical report for the victim.
The teacher has not been interrogated yet, and an inquiry is ongoing as directed by the minister of education.
