Iran Condemns Israeli Regime for Assassinating Iranian Woman and Husband in Lebanon
The Foreign Ministry of Iran has strongly denounced the brutal act of terrorism carried out by the Israeli regime in assassinating an Iranian woman, Masoumeh Karbasi, and her Lebanese husband, Dr. Rida Awada, in Lebanon. The couple was targeted by an Israeli drone strike in Jounieh, north of Beirut, causing outrage and grief among the Iranian and Lebanese people.
Iran’s spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and vowed to hold the Zionist regime accountable for its crimes through all available means. The act of assassination, captured in a widely circulated footage, has been condemned as a blatant example of terrorism and a war crime by Baghaei.
The Iranian Embassy in Beirut also condemned the killing of innocent citizens by Israel and called for international intervention to protect civilians from the regime’s war machine. The ongoing attacks by Israel on Lebanon have resulted in numerous casualties, with over 2,350 people killed and thousands more wounded.
Iran is calling on the world to take action against Israel’s atrocities and stand up against the regime’s aggression in the region. The assassination of Masoumeh Karbasi and Dr. Rida Awada is a tragic reminder of the ongoing conflict and violence perpetuated by the Israeli regime.
