JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has called on opposition parties to reject the proposed constitutional amendment and demanded the appointment of Mansoor Ali Shah as Chief Justice of Pakistan. At a press conference, he advised the opposition to avoid getting entangled in the amendment issue and urged for a broader dialogue on judicial reforms. Rehman also formed a committee to draft judicial reforms and announced a legal forum to provide free legal aid to those in need. He condemned the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and called for relief to the public in the form of reduced electricity bills.
