Elon Musk, the billionaire, made a bold promise to give away $1mn each day until the upcoming election in November to someone who signs his online petition supporting the US constitution. In a recent event in Pennsylvania aimed at rallying support for Donald Trump, Musk awarded a $1mn cheque to John Dreher, who was unaware of his win. This generous gesture is just one example of Musk’s efforts to influence the presidential race, with his America PAC organisation supporting Trump’s campaign by mobilising voters in battleground states.
During the event, Musk emphasized the importance of the election, stating that a win for Kamala Harris would be detrimental to the country’s future. He suggested that the US might not survive if Harris wins and highlighted the dangers faced by Trump, indicating that his disruptive influence is angering certain groups. Musk’s petition in support of the First and Second Amendments aims to gather more support for Trump by capturing contact details of potential voters.
As the world’s richest person, Musk’s financial contributions to America PAC have become crucial in Trump’s re-election efforts, showcasing his growing support for Republican causes. Trump himself has expressed interest in appointing Musk to lead a government commission on efficiency if he secures a second term.
