The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has confirmed the complete blockage of roads and railways connecting South Korea. The DPRK announced that the eastern and western parts of the southern border have been severed, following orders from the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The DPRK Ministry of National Defence reported that roads and railways in Kamho-ri, Kosong County, and Tongnae-ri, Panmun District were blasted to implement the separation. This action was deemed necessary due to security concerns and provocations from hostile forces.
The DPRK ensured that the blasting had no adverse effects on the environment. They plan to fortify the closed southern border permanently to maintain territorial integrity. This decision comes amidst tensions on the Korean Peninsula, with the DPRK emphasizing their commitment to the separation.
With further measures anticipated, the DPRK remains resolute in their stance to safeguard their sovereignty and continue strategic actions for national security.
