In a recent interview, renowned economist Richard Wolff shared his insights on the shifting global economic landscape, the systemic issues facing the United States economy, and the future of Israel. According to Wolff, the American empire has reached its peak and is now on the decline, as emerging economies within the BRICS coalition (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) gain momentum.
Wolff points out that Americans are grappling with the harsh reality of their losses in wars such as Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, despite their perception of invincibility. Moreover, he believes that even with unwavering support from the US, Israel will not be able to sustain its dominance in the Middle East in the long term.
Asserting that Israel, a country with a small population, cannot control the entire Middle East on its own, Wolff predicts that its influence will wane, with or without the backing of the United States.
