The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission has announced the victory of All Progressives Congress candidates in all 21 local government chairmanship seats and 239 councillor positions. The election, held on Saturday, was declared peaceful, free, fair, and credible by KOSIEC Chairman, Mr Mamman Nda-Eri.

Notably, a female candidate secured the chairmanship position in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area. In his address, Nda-Eri highlighted the exceptional performance of the APC, leaving no room for the other 18 political parties that participated.

Expressing gratitude, Nda-Eri thanked electoral officials, security agencies, observers, and journalists for their contributions to the success of the election. The results were officially confirmed by the Chairman, who commended the Returning Officers for their diligence.
