Terrorists Kill Two Non-Locals in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gagangir Area

Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gagangir shot and killed two non-locals on Sunday evening near the APCO camp close to Z-mode tunnel. Gagangir, situated in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district, witnessed the violent incident. The perpetrators were identified as The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who claimed responsibility for the attack.

The previously peaceful Ganderbal district saw its first non-local targeting in years. Security forces, including the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) and local police, secured the area following the incident. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah denounced the attack on the innocent victims engaged in vital infrastructure work.

Video footage circulating on social media captured the aftermath, showing the victims in a pool of blood. While the district had enjoyed a period of peace for over a decade, this violent act has sent shockwaves through the region.
