Pakistan vows aid for Palestine and Lebanon

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon, urging citizens to donate generously to the government’s relief fund. In a meeting, he announced plans to send 3,000 tents, 12,000 blankets, and essential supplies to the affected areas.

He called on Pakistan’s ambassadors in neighboring countries to expedite relief efforts and requested donations from both local and overseas Pakistanis. The PM condemned Israel’s obstruction and emphasized the need for international intervention to halt the violence.

Despite challenges, 12 relief shipments have been sent since Oct 8, 2023, containing vital aid. The government also facilitated the arrival of Palestinian medical students and arranged for their continued education in Pakistan.

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, along with other officials, attended the meeting to discuss ongoing relief efforts. The PM highlighted the importance of humanitarian aid and called for sustained support for those affected by the crisis.
