Scandal rocks Jigawa State as Governor Umar A. Namadi suspends Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Dalladi Sankara, over alleged adultery. Sankara was caught with a married woman by Kano State Hisbah Board in a secluded area, leading to his arrest and investigation.
The son of a former senator, Sankara was found in a compromising position in his vehicle parked in an uncompleted building. Hisbah Director General, Abba Sufi, confirmed the arrest and stated that the investigation was prompted by complaints from the woman’s brother-in-law.
In response, Sankara denied Hisbah’s jurisdiction over the matter and threatened legal action against those spreading the news. The governor’s office, however, released a statement announcing Sankara’s suspension to ensure a fair investigation and uphold transparency in the State Administration.
The move aims to maintain accountability and ethical standards in governance, as Governor Namadi prioritizes the trust of Jigawa citizens in the government.
