Iranian officers overseeing Hezbollah’s battles in Lebanon

In a recent interview, former Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Awad Al-Asiri, expressed concerns about Lebanon’s current situation. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Lebanon, stating that Israel will not abide by international resolutions and has a history of refusing negotiations except under fire.

Al-Asiri urged for the implementation of international resolutions, the election of a president, the formation of a cohesive government, and national dialogue to address internal differences. He called for strengthening the Lebanese army and moving away from policies aligned with the “Axis of Resistance.”

He also criticized Iran’s involvement in Lebanese affairs, stating that Iranian officers are overseeing battles in the country. Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea echoed these concerns, warning against the dangers of the Iranian-Israeli conflict on Lebanese soil and advocating for a strong stance to restore state sovereignty and seek a ceasefire.

Both leaders stressed the urgency of addressing Lebanon’s current challenges to prevent further instability and conflict.
