Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently discussed the assassination of Yahya Sinwar, head of the Hamas political bureau, in an exclusive interview. Araghchi emphasized that the killing of Sinwar will only strengthen the motivation of the Resistance against Israel, and Iran is prepared to defend its land against any threats.
He condemned the assassination as another Israeli war crime against the Palestinian and Lebanese people and resistance leaders. Despite Israel’s belief that such actions will deter the resistance, Araghchi argued that it will only spur them on.
Araghchi highlighted the need for Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah to stand up to the occupation, stating that Netanyahu’s government is committing war crimes and genocide. He warned that Iran is prepared to respond appropriately to any Israeli aggression within the bounds of international law.
He also discussed the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon, emphasizing the need for regional cooperation against injustices. Araghchi’s visit to Cairo aimed to address these issues and push for a ceasefire.
