According to Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR), Pervukha had been serving in the 273rd Intelligence Center of the Russian army. The explosion resulted in the destruction of the invader involved in war crimes, as stated by HUR.

Pervukha held the position of “chief of staff for the service of the troops and security of the military service,” according to the report. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, HUR has carried out several targeted assassinations of military figures through car bombings in Russian-occupied territories.
