Gaza’s civil defense agency reported that an Israeli air strike on a residential area in Beit Lahia, Gaza, killed at least 73 Palestinians. Israel claimed it targeted a “Hamas terror site”.
The strike resulted in casualties with many still trapped under rubble. The Gaza government confirmed women and children were among the dead, challenging Israel’s dispute over the toll figures.
Israel intensively bombed northern Gaza to prevent Hamas from regrouping, forcing thousands to flee. Prior, the ongoing military assault caused over 400 deaths.
The operation aimed to eliminate Hamas militants and tighten control over the region, causing immense suffering and displacement among Palestinians.
