The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has refuted claims of arresting and unlawfully detaining a minor, clarifying that the actions were in compliance with a court order. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, FCT, Abuja, emphasizing that reports on social media were misleading.

The statement highlighted that the incident stemmed from a court order issued by the Senior Magistrate Court in Dutse Alhaji, which led to the arrest of Deborah Fornchor for assaulting court personnel. The FCT Police followed legal procedures, apprehended her, and handed her over to court authorities. The Commissioner, CP Olatunji Disu, Psc, urged the public to report any suspicious activities and assured adherence to legal protocols.
