Israeli Warplanes Destroy Mosques in Gaza, Displace Thousands
Israeli warplanes targeted and destroyed two mosques in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip. This strike is part of a larger offensive that has resulted in the destruction of 814 mosques and the damage of 148 others since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023.
An Israeli aircraft also attacked a school-turned-shelter in central Gaza, displacing many without causing casualties. The ongoing offensive has led to over 42,400 deaths and 99,100 injuries, mainly among women and children. The blockade on Gaza has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, with severe shortages of essential supplies like food, water, and medicine.
Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza, despite calls for a cease-fire by the UN Security Council. The conflict continues to escalate, displacing the entire population of Gaza and leaving many without basic necessities.
