Troops kill 4 terrorists, free kidnap victims

In recent operations in Yobe, Borno, and Plateau states, Nigerian Army troops have recorded significant successes in the fight against terrorism and banditry. In Yobe, two terrorists were killed during an attack on a tax collection point, with weapons recovered from the scene. Similarly, in Borno, troops ambushed ISWAP fighters, resulting in the death of two terrorists and the recovery of weapons.

Additionally, troops successfully rescued four kidnapped victims in the Kuje area of the Federal Capital Territory. In Plateau State, four bandit arms suppliers were arrested in separate operations. One operation led to the arrest of a female firearms courier and her accomplice, with confiscated ammunition believed to be smuggled for use by terrorists in Zamfara State.

In another operation, a known terrorist was apprehended at the Plateau-Nasarawa border, with weapons seized from his residence. The troops also responded to a report of cattle rustling, recovering stolen livestock and overpowering the criminals.

The Nigerian Army’s relentless efforts in combating terrorism and banditry continue to yield positive results, ensuring the safety and security of citizens in various regions of the country.
