Major General Patrick Ryder has reiterated the findings of an earlier Department of Defense study on reported sightings of UFOs, stating that there is no evidence of an extraterrestrial presence on Earth. Responding to a journalist’s question about the likelihood of alien announcements going unnoticed in the news cycle, Ryder emphasized that there is no indication that extraterrestrial life has visited the planet.
The Pentagon’s stance aligns with a previous report from the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) that found no evidence of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) or signs of extraterrestrial life. The report covered the period from 1945 to October 2023, emphasizing that claims of alien spacecraft and secret government programs are based on false information.
Despite claims made by independent investigators and conspiracy theorists, the Pentagon maintains that there is no evidence to support the presence of aliens on Earth. Last year, the department also launched a website for declassified information about flying objects to encourage reports from current and former government employees, service members, and contractors.
