K-Electric Establishes Karachi’s First 500 kV Grid Station
In a groundbreaking development, K-Electric has successfully built Karachi’s first 500 kV grid station, marking a significant milestone after many years. This initiative enables the city to receive affordable electricity from the KANUPP (Karachi Nuclear Power Plant) located at Paradise Point.
The KKI grid station, completed in just 22 months, serves as a crucial transmission link between the National Grid and K-Electric’s network. This connection is set to enhance energy security for local industries and the southern regions of Pakistan.
