The third meeting of the South Caucasus Regional Cooperation Platform is scheduled to take place in Istanbul, with the Iranian Foreign Minister leading a delegation participating in the event. This meeting aims to enhance regional cooperation and address key issues affecting the region.
During his visit to Turkiye, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Araghchi, will engage in discussions with other participants and top Turkish officials. This follows his recent diplomatic visits to countries in the region to address ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
Moreover, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized Turkiye’s stance on not supporting any war against Iran and recognizing Iran’s right to self-defense. Fidan highlighted Turkiye’s commitment to promoting peace and resolving conflicts in the region.
With Istanbul being the ninth destination of his regional tour, Araghchi’s presence at the South Caucasus meeting underscores the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing regional challenges.
