The 2024 BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, will showcase the increased stature of the organization, now expanded to include Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Iran, and Ethiopia. With over 40 countries expressing interest in joining, BRICS is seen as a key player in a multipolar world.
The initiative promotes collaboration and equitable trade rules, moving away from Western dominance. Alexander Zhukov from the Russian State Duma emphasized BRICS’ commitment to a fair global system and sovereignty.
BRICS sets an example for international cooperation, with Russia hosting various events focusing on politics, security, and economy. The Summit aims to address global challenges collectively and strengthen ties between Global South nations.
