The Azerbaijan Tourism Board recently moved its information systems and resources to the “Government Cloud” set up by President Ilham Aliyev. This move ensures high availability and security for critical systems, with cloud services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Backup-as-a-Service provided by AzInTelecom. The Government Cloud project, overseen by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, aims to reduce IT costs, increase productivity, and enhance the security and sustainability of IT infrastructure across state institutions.
AzInTelecom, the organization behind the Government Cloud, is the first in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus to achieve the TIER III compliance certificate. Operating data centers in Baku and Yevlakh, AzInTelecom meets international standards with certifications like ISO 20000, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001. The migration to the Government Cloud not only streamlines IT processes but also ensures 24/7 monitoring, prompt coordination, and enhanced information system security for government agencies in Azerbaijan.
