US deploys B-2 bombers for nuclear strikes on Houthi targets

The U.S. military conducted B-2 bomber strikes on weapons storage sites in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen to target underground facilities housing weapons components used to attack civilian and military vessels. The strikes were carried out to degrade the Houthi’s capabilities and protect U.S. forces in critical waterways.

Houthi-run Al Masirah television reported 15 strikes targeting multiple sites in Yemen, showcasing U.S. global strike capabilities. The U.S. and Britain have previously targeted the Houthis to curb their ability to attack shipping routes, but the rebels have persisted in their actions.

The recent use of B-2 bombers reflects a shift in U.S. policy towards the Houthis, demonstrating a firmer stance against their destabilizing behavior. The rare deployment of these bombers highlights the seriousness of the situation in Yemen and the region.
