Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that 10,000 North Korean soldiers are being prepared to join the fight against Kyiv, based on intelligence information. This disclosure comes after Zelensky previously accused North Korea of sending troops to support Russia’s army.
According to Zelensky, an unspecified number of North Korean soldiers are already present on “occupied Ukrainian territory,” further stating that around 10,000 soldiers are being readied to be sent into combat against Ukraine.
During his visit to Brussels for talks with EU leaders, Zelensky also highlighted the involvement of Iran in backing Russia with drones and missiles. He cautioned that this situation could escalate into a world war.
Despite denials from both Moscow and Pyongyang, experts suggest that North Korean missiles have been deployed in Ukraine by Russian forces. Zelensky has been actively seeking support for his “victory plan” to end the conflict, with concerns about the increasing involvement of foreign powers in the war.
