Local Administration Minister, Louai Kharitah, met with Karim al-Nouri, undersecretary for the Iraqi ministry of migration and displaced, to discuss the procedures for receiving arrivals from Lebanon to Syria and the Syrian-Iraqi efforts regarding the arrival of displaced persons to Iraq.
Minister Kharitah highlighted the measures taken by the Syrian government to secure the needs of the arrivals and prepare reception centers, providing necessary assistance to them. Al-Nouri expressed gratitude to Syria for receiving refugees and providing support to alleviate their suffering.
His visit aims to follow up on the conditions of Lebanese expatriates in Syria and assist Syria in responding to the Israeli aggression. The collaboration between Syria and Iraq in welcoming displaced individuals showcases a humanitarian partnership between the two countries.
This meeting signifies a commitment to humanitarian aid and solidarity in the face of crises, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in addressing refugee needs.
