Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez has called out the United States for its role in supporting Israel’s actions in the region. Rodriguez highlighted the US’ continuous supply of weapons to Israel, enabling them to commit atrocities against civilians. He stated that US tax dollars amounting to over 22.76 billion have fueled Israel’s massacres in Palestine, Lebanon, as well as attacks in Syria and Yemen, while millions of Americans live in poverty.
Rodriguez’s comments shed light on the grim reality faced by Palestinians who have been enduring the consequences of this support for more than a year. This blatant funding of violence by the US has drawn attention to the imbalance between aiding a powerful entity like Israel, while a significant portion of the American population struggles to make ends meet.
It serves as a reminder of the need to reassess international alliances and ensure that resources are directed towards promoting peace and stability rather than perpetuating conflicts.
