Ocean Dev Forum to start in E China’s Shandong

The 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum is set to take place on October 24 and 25 in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China. Themed “Let’s ‘sea’ our futures – promoting blue partnerships for growth and sustainability,” the event is hosted by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The forum will feature the main forum, the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Session, four parallel forums, and six special sessions. Discussions will revolve around topics such as marine ecological governance, ecological restoration, and carbon trading as essential solutions to combat climate change.
