North Korea seeks to fortify border with South into eternal stronghold

In response to provocations from Seoul, North Korea has declared the destruction of roads and rail lines along its border with South Korea as an “inevitable and legal response.” The Korean Central News Agency confirmed reports of the blown-up road and rail links, stating that it is part of a phased complete separation of the two countries.

The North Korean Defense Ministry representative announced plans to further fortify the southern border to create an “eternal fortress” against the “absolutely hostile state” of South Korea. The recent actions aim to solidify the division between the North and the South, marking a significant escalation in tensions between the two countries.

The destruction of the road and rail lines signifies Pyongyang’s commitment to severing ties with its neighbor and establishing a permanent barrier between the two nations. As the situation continues to unfold, further measures are expected to be taken to reinforce the separation between North and South Korea.
