NNPP Chairman plans coalition to oust APC, Tinubu in 2027

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is gearing up to collaborate with other opposition parties to form a coalition with the goal of displacing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. National Chairman Ajuji Ahmed announced this plan during the launch of the campaign in Akure, Ondo State, ahead of the upcoming governorship election.

Ahmed expressed concerns about the APC’s potential manipulation of the electoral process and emphasized the need for credible agents to safeguard votes. He also addressed allegations of APC interference in opposition parties but stressed the importance of unity among opposition forces.

While affirming the NNPP’s willingness to collaborate with other parties, Ahmed stated their readiness to contest independently if required. The party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olugbenga Edema, urged voters to resist intimidation and highlighted his seven-point agenda focusing on various sectors like food security, healthcare, youth empowerment, and education.
